My work is designed to be confronting, quietly impacting the space around it or the viewer who comes close. The figures are thinned, frail, limited in power. some are garbed in a cocoon-like covering, while others begin to evoke a strong presence or sense of purpose.

The figures are created to emit an archaic sensibility, a strong connection of the past to the present-a reflection of life experiences and recurring themes from the unconscious mind. I my work I attempt to address the loss of our natural sense of being human, that is our deeply intuitive sense of ourselves. One can embrace the condition of the figures thus engaging themselves in the process of reconnection through the transcend elements at the work.

I hope the work will challenge each of us to reexamine their relationship to the spiritual and the need for an internal life.
